My name is Chris Spicer. I’m an engineer/artist/writer/land-locked beach bum. I recently graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently working as a computer-aided designer and illustrator as well as a self-employed freelance graphic artist. But in the long run, I am an aspiring artist, actor, and writer. I am a beach bum at heart, secretly counting the days until I can retire to a salty slice of seashore heaven, spending weekends aboard my 36-foot cabin cruiser with jet ski docked to the stern, or watching the sun set behind the ocean with a daiquiri in my hand. Now that the University of Maryland Mechanical Engineering Department no longer owns my soul, I am one step closer. Art is my passion. Be it drawing, painting, acting, poetry, or story writing, there is nothing like being able to take life’s darkest moments and from them create something beautiful. I was practically born with a sketchbook and pencil in hand. And although my life’s goals are still very much works in progress, I hope to include that artistic creativity and passion everything that I pursue.
