This is Isla Nublar. It's a hundred miles west of Costa Rica, and a hundred miles east of Las Cinco Muertes. It's a biological preserve designed to drive kids out of their minds. Our attractions. In a few words, right up a paleontologist's alley. And it's been in development for five years, but every single electrified fence is new. We have fine dining, rides, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the power outages. You see, most theme parks have roller coasters or animatronic characters. We have⦠dinosaurs.
After recently seeing How to Train Your Dragon and Jurassic World Rebirth in theaters, I suppose it was inevitable that my artistic mind would marry the two films. And the result is How to Train Your Dinosaur: my reimagined take on the iconic How to Train Your Dragon movie poster with a Jurassic Park theme. Instead of Hiccup reaching out to touch Toothless, Dr. Alan Grant is reaching out to touch Rexy.
This was a really fun piece, and I created it with Ohuhu alcohol markers, Prismacolor Nupastels, and Faber-Castell pastel pencils on 6 x 8in Artist's Loft mixed media paper.
